I don’t get political often here, but this is important for all gay rights and equality in the United States. So listen and read.
For a brief time in 2008, the California State Supreme Court determined same sex marriage was legal. And many couples did in fact get married. But only 6 months later, Proposition 8 was sent to the voters which defined marriage as only between one man and one woman. Unbelievably enough, it passed. Ever since then, there has been an ongoing legal battle in the 9th Circuit Court, saying that the Proposition was illegal in the first place. And after a lot of hemming and hawing, it turns out the 9th Circuit agreed.
This means that the State government cannot find any reason why gays and lesbians shouldn’t be married. And having the government’s direct backing is a great way to secure our rights. Now, at the moment, same sex marriages are not yet…

Some time ago, I actually got a latex body suit. I didn’t realize how much work they were! It took me a while, but I finally got to wear it. I prepped it and got it on, which was no easy feat. It’s quite form fitting. It actually squeaks and “farted” a bit, which surprised me. I could feel the sweat pretty instantly. But even I had underestimated how much sweat I had. When I got to rolling down my legs when taking it off, a small puddle of water dripped out of my leg… and I realized it was my own sweat! That was scary, impressive, and sexy all at the same time.

So I do realize today is the 10th anniversary of 9/11, which is an event that shook not only the USA, but the world. I wasn’t really sure what to post today. Fortunately, I did not know anyone personally involved, but that doesn’t make it any less painful. While I’m all for picking up the pieces and moving forward, a certain amount of respect and recognition seemed to be in order.
Oddly enough, I was recently greatly moved by a fictional book that not only contains an event that parallels 9/11, but it has a title and theme befitting the day. It seemed like an unusual, but still respectful, way to honor the day.
